Santa Run – Chartham Park

Not sure whether this should come under training or fundraising – BOTH!!!

Caroline and her daughter together with her daughter’s friend took part in Chartham Park’s Santa Fun Run today.

It started at 9am, 250 runners got into the Christmas spirit by joining in in the annual Fun Run! Santas of all sizes ran, walked, skipped and hopped along the 3km route around the golf course at Chartham Park just outside East Grinstead.

The Santa Run is all about having fun and raising sponsorship for St Catherine’s Hospice. As it’s all for a good claus (sorry…) everyone who took part received their very own Santa outfit as well as festive refreshments.

Over the twelve days of Christmas, it costs St Catherine’s Hospice around £130,000 to care for patients and families in the local area. Almost 80% of their patients are cared for in their own homes, something which is especially important for them at Christmas. There are also some patients who need to stay in the hospice over this period.  Raising money  helps to make their time at St Catherine’s Hospice as comfortable and special as possible.

Well done Caroline and team – we ho-ho-hope you had a good time!
